What's the easiest and most user friendly programming interface (i mean like SQL, C+, Basic)?

I'm trying to make a simple program, one that will pick a random musical note and a string (from a guitar's 6 strings), and measure how many seconds it takes me to find it. nothing fancy like playing the tone to a microphone, just maybe pressing the space bar once I find it and then immediately going to the next one, and i want to be able to see the list of results (secs each one took). is that more complicated than it sounds to me?

Wow. You're a music person and you want to learn a programming language just for that. I wouldn't advise it. Just do a search for music note learning games or something. I found this one: http://www.happynote.com/ear-training.ht... Probably not exactly what you need, but you could try more searches...
Reply:Visual Basic is a good place to start.
Reply:learn java, it's user friendly (I guess). It is still hard though.
